Welcome to The Dorset Wine Company website. It is
our intention to continue the tradition of quality independent wine
merchants and sell wines that you simply cannot find in the larger
retailers or supermarkets due to their small production,
individuality and often quirky nature. We like to believe that the
service we offer is second to none and that the level of individual
and personal attention that we provide our customers sets us apart
from other retailers.
Our wine list consists of a huge variety of wines from around the
world and it is constantly being revised and added to as we come
across more and more terrific wines. We do not intend to launch an
e-commerce site as yet but we do offer free delivery in Dorset and
deliveries can be arranged further a field by individual quotation.
What we love best of all though, is to see our customers in the shop
where we are always delighted to run through what's new and exciting
on our shelves.

***FANTASTIC SUMMER MIXED CASE OFFER*** 200
people came to celebrate at our Anniversary Tasting in May when we
showcased 80 of our wines. This was a fantastic opportunity to
taste a wide range of styles in one place. All of the wines
showed very well, but there were some out and out stars so we have
decided to put together this cracking case of wines at a specially
discounted price. The case consists of 3 bottles each of the
following: 2006 Long Cow Sauvignon Blanc,
Auntsfield, New Zealand - A show stopping kiwi sauvignon that
demonstrates the sheer class available from this country. 2007
Aubun Rose, Domaine de Lansac, Vdp Alpilles - This incredibly
pale Provence Rose quite literally stole the show with its aromatic,
citrus nose and perfumed, mouth filling fruit. 2006
Torre de Barreda, Vino de la Tierra Castilla, Spain - Big
rich Juicy wine made from 40 year old Cencibel (Tempranillo), with
the winemaking overseen by George Pauli from Gruaud Larose. 2006
Carmenere/Syrah, Julio Bouchon, Chile - It is nice to
finally see some more interesting blends come out of Chile.
Crunchy Carmenere fruit is enveloped by the soft dark berry fruit
and spice of the Syrah. Our Summer offer case
consists of three bottles of each of these wines for only
£98.00. Delivery is free within a 15 mile radius. If
you would like the wine delivered further a field or as a gift to a
friend, there is a flat £10 delivery charge and the wine will be
dispatched via our very trusty couriers.

Charity Tasting - 31/07/2008
To mark the launch of Alibi's new
wine list we are laying on a charity
open tasting where you can come and
try 20 wines from across the new
list. Tickets are £10 per
head and all proceeds from the
evening will go to the Weldmar
Hospicecare Trust.
You can purchase tickets either from us or
Alibi's.
