Welcome to The Dorset Wine Company...
…there is surely more to an oenophile’s life than toddling down to Tesco. We shouldn’t let the march of these leviathans blind us to the fact that there are scores of small, passionate, independent merchants, selling wines of real character from producers who are often too niche-market, or too modestly sized, to be snapped up the big boys. If you love wine, you owe it to yourself to support your local independent. Seek it out – it’s worth the effort.

Welcome to The Dorset Wine Company website. Based in the county town of Dorchester we are proud to be independent wine merchants supplying wine to private and wholesale customers throughout the county and further a field. We specialise in selling an exciting range of individual wines produced by talented and dedicated wine makers around the world. We pride ourselves on providing honest, down to earth advice coupled with the highest levels of customer service.
Our online shop is now open. We offer free delivery in Dorset (conditions apply) and charge a one off £10.00 fee for deliveries outside of the county. Click here to have a browse through our vast range of exciting, individual and great value wines.
You can also download a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Noble Rot. Packed with supplier profiles, offers and details of the many tastings and events that we organise this is a ‘must read’ for any wine lover in the Dorchester or surrounding areas.
Whilst it is undoubtedly a benefit to be able to provide a range of online services, we feel that there is no substitute to actually coming to visit us in the shop and having a good rummage around. Some of the wines that we buy are available in such small quantities that they don’t actually make it on to the website so you never know what you might find!
